Web Design
Fast sites that work on a phone, that Google can read and that you can edit yourself.
A page that loads a second faster brings more enquiries than a page that looks richer. We build light, measure, then add only what pays for itself.
A site that looks good but brings no enquiries
A common case: a holiday apartment or a restaurant has a site with a big photo slider, a booking plugin and a few tracking scripts. On a desktop it looks lovely. On a phone, over mobile data on the waterfront, the first content appears only after several seconds, and the enquiry button jumps just as someone tries to tap it. Tourists mostly open the site on exactly that phone.
Every extra script and every unoptimised photo adds loading time, and a visitor who waits too long closes the page and books through one of the big platforms instead.
What we do differently
We measure against the Core Web Vitals Google uses: LCP (main content loaded) under 2.5 seconds, INP (response to a tap) under 200 ms and CLS (layout shift) under 0.1. Images are served as WebP or AVIF at a size that fits the screen, fonts are self-hosted, and third-party scripts go in only when they have a clear purpose.
You edit the content yourself through a CMS, without calling a developer every time your opening hours change. If you need more than one language, each version gets correct hreflang tags so Google shows visitors the right one.
Before launch we test the site on a real phone over a slower connection, not just on an office computer.
Scope and limits
- Design, build, CMS and deployment to hosting
- Technical SEO: structured data, sitemap, meta descriptions and redirects from the old site
- Visitor analytics with cookie consent
- Maintenance after handover if agreed: updates and site backups
We do not promise the top spot on Google, because nobody can honestly promise that. Texts and photos are best prepared by you or a photographer, since you know your business better than anyone. We edit and arrange them so they read well on any screen.
Common questions
How much does a website cost?
It depends on the number of pages and languages and on features such as bookings or a web shop. After a conversation about what the site needs to do, you get a quote listing what is included.
Can I keep my current domain?
Yes. The domain stays yours, and we set up redirects from the old site so existing links and search positions are not lost.
Can I change the content myself?
Yes, through the CMS. You update texts, photos, prices and opening hours yourself, and before handover we show you how it is done.
